Stevenage – Westgate

Project Brief.

During 2012 WD acquired the Westgate Centre, Stevenage with a view to expanding the scheme as a focal point for the revival of this major town. Stevenage has a low retail ranking for its population, economy and location and thus the very real prospect of medium term rental growth. Key letting objectives have been met with new signings such as Miss Selfridge and BANK. Of considerable importance is a pre-letting of a new 20,000 sq ft store to H&M. This is being created from a restructure of the multi-storey car park and ground floor space.

Despite the economic downturn the rental income of Westgate has increased as has the quality of the occupiers and lease certainty.
